Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the platform, and information from third-party sources.
Personal Information
When you create an account or use Joblinkers, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, business name, and profile photo. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Payment Information
Subscription billing and payment processing are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, bank account details, or other sensitive financial data on our servers. Stripe collects and processes this information in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.
Location Data
If you use the Joblinkers mobile app and grant location permissions, we collect GPS coordinates to support features such as time tracking, route optimization, on-my-way notifications, and ETA updates. You can disable location sharing at any time through your device settings.
Customer Data
As a service professional using our CRM, you may enter information about your own customers, including their names, contact details, addresses, job history, and notes. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers before entering their information into the platform.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Joblinkers platform
- Process subscriptions, payments, and invoices
- Send transactional notifications such as appointment confirmations, estimate approvals, and payment receipts
- Power AI features including the AI assistant, voice receptionist, and AI-powered estimates
- Facilitate optional background checks through our integration with Checkr
- Improve the platform through analytics and product development
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
- Send marketing communications (only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time)
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues
SMS / Text Messaging — Joblinkers Alerts
When you affirmatively opt in to Joblinkers Alerts by checking the optional SMS consent box during account registration, you consent to receive transactional SMS/text messages from Joblinkers ("Joblinkers Alerts") about your Joblinkers account and business activity. We do not send recurring SMS alerts unless you have affirmatively opted in. These messages include:
- Account verification codes (OTP)
- Appointment reminders and confirmations
- On-my-way and arrival notifications
- Lead and booking alerts
- Payment and invoice notifications
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS from Joblinkers. You can opt back in by texting START or updating your notification preferences in your account settings.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Phone numbers are shared with our messaging provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering SMS messages on our behalf.

WhatsApp Business Messaging
When you or your business connect a WhatsApp Business Account to Joblinkers — whether through the shared Joblinkers WhatsApp sender or by registering your own approved WhatsApp Business number — Joblinkers operates as a Tech Provider on top of the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. This section describes the data flowing through that integration and how we handle it.
Information We Process
- The WhatsApp phone numbers of the businesses connecting their accounts and of the end-customers who message them
- Message content (text, voice notes, images, videos, documents, locations) sent to or from the business's WhatsApp number
- WhatsApp display names and profile photos when shared by participants
- Timestamps, delivery and read status, and conversation metadata
- The business's WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone-number ID, and public business profile (logo, business description, hours, website)
Why We Process It
- Route inbound messages to the correct AI receptionist instance for the business that owns the WhatsApp number
- Generate AI-assisted replies on behalf of the business
- Create leads, work orders, and customer records in the business's Joblinkers workspace
- Maintain a conversation history accessible to the business owner inside Joblinkers
- Send transactional notifications (appointment confirmations, on-my-way alerts, payment receipts) that the business has authorized
Sub-Processors in the WhatsApp Data Flow
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — operates the WhatsApp Business Platform that receives, stores, and delivers messages between end-customers and businesses
- Twilio — acts as Joblinkers' Business Solution Provider (BSP) for message routing between Joblinkers and the WhatsApp Business Platform
- OpenAI — processes message content to generate AI replies, subject to OpenAI's API data-handling commitments (no use of API content to train OpenAI's general-purpose models)
Roles Under Data Protection Law
When a business connects its own WhatsApp Business number to Joblinkers, that business is the data controller for its end-customers' messages, and Joblinkers acts as a data processor on its behalf. The business is responsible for ensuring it has the right to message its customers and for complying with the WhatsApp Commerce Policy and WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
Your Rights When Messaging a Business via Joblinkers
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further automated WhatsApp messages from that business; we record the opt-out and block further outbound automation to your number
- Reply HELP to receive contact information for the business
- Email privacy@joblinkers.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your information stored in a business's Joblinkers workspace; we will route the request to the relevant business and respond within 30 days
Retention
WhatsApp message content is retained for the duration of the business's Joblinkers subscription, plus up to 30 days for backup-rotation purposes, after which it is permanently deleted. A business may request earlier deletion of specific conversations through its Joblinkers workspace settings or by contacting support.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell WhatsApp message content to anyone
- We do not use WhatsApp message content for advertising or to train general-purpose AI models
- We do not share WhatsApp message content across businesses — each business's data is logically isolated within its own Joblinkers workspace
- We do not use WhatsApp data for any purpose other than delivering the AI receptionist service the business has subscribed to
Your use of WhatsApp Business messaging through Joblinkers is also governed by Meta's WhatsApp Business Solution Terms and Joblinkers' own Terms of Service.
Information Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
Service Providers
- Stripe — Payment processing, subscription billing, and payouts for service professionals
- Twilio — SMS notifications, phone number provisioning, voice communication for the AI receptionist, and Business Solution Provider routing for WhatsApp Business messaging
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) — Delivery of WhatsApp Business messages to and from your customers; required for the AI receptionist's WhatsApp channel
- SendGrid — Transactional and marketing email delivery
- OpenAI — AI assistant, voice receptionist, AI-powered estimates, and natural language processing features
- Google — OAuth authentication (Sign in with Google) and maps/geocoding services
- Firebase (Google) — Push notifications on mobile devices
- Checkr — Background checks for service professionals (initiated by the user; sensitive data such as SSN and date of birth is collected directly by Checkr through their hosted flow and is never stored on Joblinkers servers)
- QuickBooks / Xero — Accounting integrations connected at the user's discretion
- Home Depot — Product catalog integration for estimates and line items
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Secure cloud infrastructure and file storage
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.
Sensitive information such as Social Security numbers and dates of birth required for background checks is collected and stored exclusively by Checkr through their hosted verification flow. Joblinkers does not have access to or store this data.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal and contractual obligations
- Data Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt-Out — Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us

Children's Privacy
Joblinkers is designed for business professionals and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@joblinkers.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Effective" date. For significant changes, we may also send you an email notification. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
