Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the platform, and information from third-party sources.

Personal Information

When you create an account or use Joblinkers, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, business name, and profile photo. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Payment Information

Subscription billing and payment processing are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, bank account details, or other sensitive financial data on our servers. Stripe collects and processes this information in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.

Location Data

If you use the Joblinkers mobile app and grant location permissions, we collect GPS coordinates to support features such as time tracking, route optimization, on-my-way notifications, and ETA updates. You can disable location sharing at any time through your device settings.

Customer Data

As a service professional using our CRM, you may enter information about your own customers, including their names, contact details, addresses, job history, and notes. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers before entering their information into the platform.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Joblinkers platform
• Process subscriptions, payments, and invoices
• Send transactional notifications such as appointment confirmations, estimate approvals, and payment receipts
• Power AI features including the AI assistant, voice receptionist, and AI-powered estimates
• Facilitate optional background checks through our integration with Checkr
• Improve the platform through analytics and product development
• Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
• Send marketing communications (only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time)
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues

SMS / Text Messaging — Joblinkers Alerts

When you provide your phone number during account registration, service booking, or within the platform, you consent to receive transactional SMS/text messages from Joblinkers ("Joblinkers Alerts"). These messages include:

• Account verification codes (OTP)
• Appointment reminders and confirmations
• On-my-way and arrival notifications
• Lead and booking alerts
• Payment and invoice notifications

Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS from Joblinkers. You can opt back in by texting START or updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared with our messaging provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering SMS messages on our behalf.

Information Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Service Providers

• Stripe — Payment processing, subscription billing, and payouts for service professionals
• Twilio — SMS notifications, phone number provisioning, and voice communication for the AI receptionist
• SendGrid — Transactional and marketing email delivery
• OpenAI — AI assistant, voice receptionist, AI-powered estimates, and natural language processing features
• Google — OAuth authentication (Sign in with Google) and maps/geocoding services
• Firebase (Google) — Push notifications on mobile devices
• Checkr — Background checks for service professionals (initiated by the user; sensitive data such as SSN and date of birth is collected directly by Checkr through their hosted flow and is never stored on Joblinkers servers)
• QuickBooks / Xero — Accounting integrations connected at the user's discretion
• Home Depot — Product catalog integration for estimates and line items
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Secure cloud infrastructure and file storage

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.

Sensitive information such as Social Security numbers and dates of birth required for background checks is collected and stored exclusively by Checkr through their hosted verification flow. Joblinkers does not have access to or store this data.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies & Local Storage

Joblinkers uses browser local storage to maintain your session and preferences. Specifically, we store:

• Authentication tokens — Used to keep you signed in securely across sessions
• Application state — Preferences such as your active business context and selected plan

We do not currently use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and notify you.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal and contractual obligations
• Data Portability — Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-Out — Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us

Children's Privacy

Joblinkers is designed for business professionals and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Effective" date. For significant changes, we may also send you an email notification. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
